Henkel reports a very good start to fiscal 2021 overall, achieving significant organic sales growth of +7.7 percent in the first quarter – despite the impacts of the global coronavirus crisis that continue to adversely affect the social and economic environment in numerous markets around the world. Singha Estate recorded 70 million baht net profit, pursued further investment and expected a strong growth this year

Singha Estate Public Company Limited reported its total revenue of 1,306 million baht in the first quarter of 2021, which declined 40% from the same period last year. The decline was due mainly to the deconsolidation of NVD from the consolidated financial statements and coronavirus-induced impact on the hospitality business. Nevertheless, effective cost management, recognizing share of gain from joint ventures and items recorded in accordance with accounting standard resulted in 70 million baht net profit. SHR emphazises on the performance of CROSSROADS project in Maldives and believes its UK hotel portfolio will flourish in the second half of 2021

S Hotels & Resorts Plc (SHR) has revised its strategies to create business stability through revenue and customer diversifications. In particular, this was contributed to the opportunity for business recovery after the COVID-19 crisis. The company invested THB 560 million to purchase 26 UK hotels in February 2021, followed by the divestment of a selection of its hotel assets. Proceed from sales will be used to reinvest in the renovation of the top-tier hotels in the countries. Nonetheless, SHR was successful in adapting major commercial strategies and introducing a new homegrown brand for attracting Thai residents. PepsiCo and Suntory PepsiCo in assisting 59 field hospitals in 16 provinces against the COVID-19 pandemic

The resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand since early April 2021 tends to worsen, with daily increase of infections and deaths. As a result, frontline medical workers have to work hard day and night while field hospitals are rapidly set up in many provinces to care for the infects. Concerned of the current situation, PepsiCo Thailand has teamed up with Suntory PepsiCo Beverages Thailand Co.
