          124 Communications Plc has once again been named Best PR Agency by the Advertising Association of Thailand with its “Good Bye Telegraph” campaign held in May this year being cited for this special honor.

          This campaign became the talk of the town with the largest coverage ever in all local media plus CNN. People from all walks of life showed up at post offices across the country to be part of history in bidding good bye to the telegraph service which had been in operation for as long as 125 years. Without any investment in advertising and media cost, over 400,000 people turned up to send their last telegrams to friends and relatives, view the exhibition and participate in the farewell ceremony. Total PR value generated was well over 11 million baht in free publicity.

          This is the second year in a row that 124 has been named the PR agency of the year by the Advertising Association of Thailand with the company being honored in 2007 for its campaign during the 60th anniversary celebrations of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne.
